Now that I’m out of the sorority house and can cook again (finally!), I want to start sharing some easy recipes I eat day to day that take little prep and ingredients but are so so good. I may find some of these recipes from TikTok, Pinterest, or by being creative with what I already have in the kitchen. 🙂

Today I made a super delicious and super simple broth using just a few ingredients, then poured it over Trader Joe’s pan-fried pork dumplings.
Base Ingredients:
- Low-sodium chicken broth (2 cups per serving)
- Trader Joe’s pork dumplings
For the broth, add chicken broth to a small pot and heat to medium. As broth heats up, add sesame oil, soy sauce, chili flakes, salt + pepper, Trader Joe’s umami seasoning, and fried chili oil. Bring to boil and stir to ensure all is combined. Reduce heat to low.
**The idea here is that you can throw whatever you want into the chicken broth. I used what I had, but feel free to add raw garlic, ginger, miso, an egg, etc. No measurements bc it’s all about tasting as you go ;)**
For the dumplings, heat a pan to medium high heat and add a few tablespoons of oil (I used EVOO). Once the oil is hot, add your frozen potstickers, however many you want (I made 4 for myself). Allow all sides of dumpling to turn golden brown, then reduce the heat to low and cover until dumplings are fully heated through.
**You can also boil your dumplings instead of pan-fry!!**
Once dumplings are cooked, remove from heat and add to serving bowl. Pour broth in and top with sesame seeds!
